Yesterday I started to solve the puzzles from "Socoban: Biohazard Edition", and .. WOW! There are very good puzzles!

Find good puzzles is not frecuent in Sokoban online programs. I looked at the "Credits" who is the author of the puzzles: "Levels: kater1nka", he says.

I continued playing, impressed by the quality of the puzzles. But ... surprise! :O ...  Why is here a puzzle of Sven Egevad?

What happens is that, in fact, the puzzles in the collection are of very different authors. I took hours to identify the authors of the 100 puzzles. They are (thanks to Jürgen Müller-Lütken from Onlinespiele-Sammlung):

Why in these programs almost never are mentioned the authors of the puzzles? How hard is it?  :(

Otherwise, the design is good, but the handling of the player is very hard. Another inconvenience: the big puzzles are only partially displayed (the map moves up and down with the movement of the player): it is almost impossible to solve a puzzle if it does not display the entire map.

Something good: mix puzzles of many different authors is a good idea, I not seen since old times of Thinking Rabbit collections: this gives a large variety to the collection, and is more interesting and entertaining.

This is the only good idea of this program.

  1. Hi. i am author of this program and i am confusing. we found huge collection of levels in local torrent tracker in one big text file without any comments about authors. kater1nka choose levels from this collection to use in the game and test them. Now the authors of these levels were found (for which you thank you very much) and I can specify their names. thanks again.
