Sokoban lessons - Six boxes (with rooms)

There are many good puzzles of 6 boxes (with rooms), and really it is very difficult to make a selection. I recommend see below the list "Other puzzles".

As in other post, I have tried that there are represented most of authors, styles and difficulties.

- Lines (5-8 boxes)

With regard to the concept of "room", see the explanation in "Sokoban lessons - Three boxes (with rooms)".

Six boxes (with rooms)

Author: Masaki Ishino
Title: Sokoban Perfect #294
Date: 1989
Difficulty: 4
Best moves/pushes: 154/57

Three rooms identical in T-shape. Classic problem of storage and nice puzzle.

Author: Yoshio Sakae
(Pavane)
Date: 1991. First publication: Sokoban Deluxe (1990) #5-B
Difficulty: 4.5
Best moves/pushes: 251/84

Double rotation of the boxes: the boxes on the left rotate clockwise, and the boxes to the right in the reverse direction. Hence perhaps the name of "Pavane", the slow processional dance common in Europe during the 16th century. This nice theme has also been treated, among others, by Hirohiko Nakamiya, Joy levels #1; David W. Skinner, Sasquatch IV #9, and Microban III #8; Přemysl Zíka, Primus gradus ad Olympo #52...

Comment:
Date: 1998.1.28 (created), 1998.2.4

Best moves/pushes: 156/51

Really nice. Typical puzzle divided in two halves (in the style of handmade #1).

Title: handmade #23 イヌ (Dog)
Comment:
yos_weeklyの18と19の合体です。
Date: c. 1999

Difficulty: 5
Best moves/pushes: 87/26

Simple and beautiful. This "dog" seems that it barks very much, but does not bite: you only have to pay attention in the first moves.

Author: François Marques
Title: Sokompact #32 Hexa ban 7
Date: March 2001
Website: sokoban.online.fr/
Difficulty: 7
Best moves/pushes: 150/38

Nice miniature, with a vaguely cross shaped structure.

Title: Picokosmos #1

Comment:
Date: September 2001
Website: www.onlinespiele-sammlung.de/sokoban/sokobangames/nabokos/
Difficulty: 8.75 (A. du P.)

Interesting puzzle "fix one", with a complex structure of four rooms. My difficulty rating: 7.

Author: David Holland
Title: bagatelle #10 diode1

Rotary puzzle with a double problem: place a box in D7 and build the parallel.

Title: Grigr2001 #65 Ugolok
Date: November 2001
Website: grigr.narod.ru/sokoban.htm
Difficulty: 6
Best moves/pushes: 188/52

Puzzle relatively easy, in comparison with another 6-boxes of GRIGoRusha, but very nice and fun to solve.

Author: Evgeny Grigoriev (GRIGoRusha)
Title: Grigr2002 #101 Double choice
Date: March 2002
Website: grigr.narod.ru/sokoban.htm
Difficulty: 7.5
Best moves/pushes: 488/138

Fantastic labyrinth of 6 rooms! If you don't put much attention, the "deadlock" are continuous ... Maybe it's one of the best puzzles in this style.

See also a remodel of this puzzle: GrigrSpecial #1, and an interesting version of this latter: svb485 of Serg Belyaev.

Title: Grigr2002 #107 Return
Date: May 2002
Website: grigr.narod.ru/sokoban.htm
Difficulty: 7
Best moves/pushes: 540/119

Really funny and nice. It is strange that in your website GRIGoRusha does not highlight this puzzle among their "best levels". In my opinion, it is excellent.

Title: #40 Gyruss
Comment:
Originally, the goal area of Mini Detour (SetA #36) was created as a single level like this. This is an extended version, more difficult.
Date: 2004.11.20
Website: www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Domino/7999/soko/skrmc_a.htm
Difficulty: 8
Best moves/pushes: 179/60

Exceptional "six" quasi-compact and vaguely windmill-shaped structure in the bottom half.

I realize now that, except #1 (a "line") and #5, all of the puzzles of Kenyam of 6 boxes (with rooms) are "sixes": see #16, 18, 23, 40, 41, 43. Thus, I publish here this level #40, which also included in "Sokoban lessons - Six".

The level #5 is relatively easy and has a structure similar to Microcosmos #12 of Aymeric du Peloux: the placement of the four interior walls is identical.

Rotary puzzle with rooms in three corners. It is a remodel (more difficult) of Grigr2002 #135. Hard and nice to solve!
